Memorandum of Understanding:
Promotion of Public Transit Commute Alternative
The following Memorandum of Understanding between the USDA Forest Service, Region 5 and NFFE Local 1981 documents and formalizes decisions regarding the accommodation of employees who use public transportation to commute to the Regional Office at 1323 Club Drive, Vallejo, California.
1. All regular users of public transportation are encouraged and facilitated to telecommute on a full-time, permanent basis.
2. On days when employees are required to be in the office for training, meetings, etc., staff managers are responsible to arrange for transportation from the local commute hubs (ferry terminal or York & Marin intersection), or to reimburse taxi fare from these hubs to the office.
